Special Orders and Upcoming Events

Special Orders and Upcoming Events

The expansion of factory capacity has been completed and both old and new are currently operating, as needed to maintain quick turn around production. That botteneck had delayed orders and has been a huge frustration for all of us who have had to deal with it.  With that obstacle out of the way, special orders are now an integral part of the store's offerings.

The event schedule has been adjusted, giving time for any special orders to be placed, produced and shipped before the starting date.  I believe this schedule will be the clear expectation I have hoped to provide.

The Pride event for 2026 will be hosted again by Christopher and Stacey, as a sponsor, there will be gift cards (redesigned) gift card and a constant encouragement for everyone to participate and come together as a community for another month long event.  June 1 is the starting date, so any kits ordered for the event, based on the calendar that was worked out today would need to be placed prior to the factory production order for 4/26.  Three separate production orders are planned -- 4/12, 4/19 and 4/26.  Deadlines would be the day before, Saturdays for the next 3 weeks.  Orders can still be placed after that date, but I can't be entirely confident of delivery by June 1 until there are a few orders to use for comparison.

The kits that would qualify, being colorful, is broad enough that just about anything you have will work.  I am finishing up a Pride 2026 design that I will have available in time to order, if you were interested in it.  I hope to have a new design each year, going forward.

Right after Pride, ItsRainingMen gets the spotlight in its debut July 1-31.  There will be a registration starting very soon (May 1), and early registrations will have bonus prizes attached to the week 1 prize drawing.  The only real requirement is that a Diamond Art Emporium canvas be the project kit --and it must feature a man or men.  Oh, maybe Eye Candy kits would work!  Yes, part of the master plan.  As I learned with the little witches, it is helpful if the kits are similar in size, not a lot of options, but content is consistent for turning around a shipment from the factory quickly.  There are already kits available in the Eye Candy collection, they are 40x60cm, square or round diamonds.  Priced at $57, they will be discounted to make them more affordable.  Each customer can use a one time code of EVENT10 on any kit and receive a $10 reduction in the price. You can use the EVENT10 code for a pride kit if you have other ways to save on the Eye Candy kits. It can't be combined with other discounts, There is probably a strategic way to get the maximum discount, this was the simplest for me, I may include free shipping with that because the price drops under $50, and a $7 discount just didn't seem right,  The little witches were 40x50, sale priced at 33, I think, the same as the 30x40 version, it was incredibly popular, too popular actually, each one was sold at a loss, but the demand put some pressures on the factory we didn't anticipate,  Learn a lesson and move on.  So Eye Candy 40x60 listings are what I hope provides the most value, a nice sized finished piece with detail that should hold its own.  Any of the male themed kits in the shop will qualify, and I am sure some will be part of the event, some of them are just too tempting to avoid.  There are still some really classic, perhaps vintage, qualifying kits in the clearance collection, and that is where you will find the real bargains and my eternal gratitude for giving them a home.  I hope that covers the "price of participation" question that seems to be a big factor for most, and the Wheel of Kindness will be returning for some gift card give aways in time for an order that will arrive by July 1.  Prizesfor ItsRainingMen will be gift cards and resin accessories primarily, due to shipping costs, the resin items may be the smaller items, but I'll make sure they qualify as a genuine prize --think customized resin items.  The event info page, registration form and as many details as I have finalized will be available May 1, Wheel of Kindness will be end of May when the final production orders are sent to the factory for 7/1 delivery.

The Halloween event will be scaled back to a single month as well, but without witches, in fact, you may be disqualified if there is a witch in your image!  There is a lot of halloween kit energy flowing around that doesn't have pointy hats involved. The graphic shows a couple of overly excited skeletons high fiving the title, appropriate. Any suggestions are welcome, and the Friday night DP Along on the Discord server is a good place to find me and throw ideas at me.  I hope that as these early phase undertakings get settled, that Friday evening DP Along will be the highlight of my week.

I have more work to do for the much hyped 18+Eye Candy collection and its debut later in the week. More posts will be coming, this is still an under-used resource for me, and I need to change that.
